Imported from Germany, SCHOTT glass-ceramic, the premium choice for high-end fireplaces.
The original sheets are imported from SCHOTT Germany and can be processed by cutting, edge polishing, chamfering, drilling, heat bending, surface printing, etc.
The product is widely used in gas fireplaces, wood-burning fireplaces, electric fireplaces, real flame fireplaces, and other series, especially suitable for applications with extreme temperature differences and strong thermal shocks.
Product Features:
1. Excellent heat resistance. Safe operating temperature: ≤800°C; maximum temperature resistance: around 1000°C.
2. The temperature performance value per sheet does not exceed 700°C; the glass will not break due to thermal stress. Thermal shock resistance value does not exceed 700°C; the glass will not break due to thermal stress.
3. Linear thermal expansion coefficient: (0-0.5) × 10⁻⁶/K.
4. High infrared transmittance, effectively blocking ultraviolet rays.
5. Maximum processing size: 2100mm × 1266mm / 1954mm × 1100mm; thickness: 3.0/4.0/5.0mm; various shapes available.
6. Suitable for various optical instruments and equipment.
Fireplace Glass Installation Notes:
1. Although the thermal expansion coefficient of the fireplace glass panel is close to zero, the frame design must account for the thermal expansion coefficient of the frame material. Assembly tolerances between the frame and glass panel must be considered (generally, some gaps should be reserved for the frame material's thermal expansion and contraction).
2. During installation, avoid bending the panel due to contact pressure. This can be achieved by limiting torque or using depth-limiting devices for screws (i.e., do not overtighten screws during installation to avoid deforming the glass, which could lead to breakage during use).
3. The glass panel should not directly contact the metal frame. It is recommended to use thermally stable, permanently elastic sealing materials (such as asbestos rope, glass fiber, or other high-temperature soft sealing materials).
4. During installation, protect the glass panel, especially the vulnerable edges, from scratches, impacts, and abrasions.
5. If high-temperature silicone is used on the glass panel, the elastic limit of the silicone must be considered. Due to the excellent adhesion between glass and silicone, exceeding the limit may cause the glass to break.
Sealing Material Selection:
Sealing materials for fireplace installation include asbestos rope, graphite packing, refractory cotton, glass fiber cotton, etc.
Note: Do not use glue to directly adhere the glass to the door frame.
Applications:
1. Panels for stoves and fireplaces.
2. Protective panels for electric heaters, high-performance spotlights, and floor lamps.
3. Infrared and ultraviolet drying equipment.
4. UV protection devices, grill plates, laboratory and high-temperature welding masks, safety glass, etc.
Fireplace glass has excellent heat resistance and can generally withstand prolonged exposure to open flames without cracking. Its unique optical transmission properties efficiently transfer heat from burning wood into the room.
Real flame fireplaces are very popular heating products for villas. The core component of a wood-burning fireplace is the glass installed to block smoke and flames, commonly referred to as fireplace glass or specialized fireplace glass.
Fireplaces have unique advantages:
Air conditioning provides poor heating, with slow indoor temperature rise and dry, uncomfortable air. When room temperature is below -10°C, air conditioning loses its heating capability and fails to achieve the desired heating effect. Real flame fireplaces primarily use wood or compressed wood for heating, offering far greater heating power than various air conditioners and heaters. At -10°C, a fireplace can raise the indoor temperature to over 20°C within about 10 minutes for a 40-100 square meter space. Heat transfer from a fireplace is similar to the sun, mainly through thermal radiation and natural convection. The center of the fireplace can reach several hundred degrees, with temperature decreasing扇ally. The uneven temperature distribution creates air convection, regulating indoor humidity and bringing balance to living spaces. Radiant heat, containing infrared rays like sunlight, can sterilize and dispel dampness, providing a warm and comfortable feeling.
Advantages of installing glass on fireplaces:
1. Enhances the aesthetic value of the fireplace and beautifies the indoor environment.
2. Effectively blocks smoke and flames from entering the room.
3. Allows excellent infrared transmission with low heat loss.
As a heating tool, the surface temperature of the glass during use is quite high. Therefore, do not touch the glass while the fireplace is operating to avoid burns, especially for households with children. Supervise children to prevent high-temperature burns.
